Get Jiro! to be Adapted as an Animated Series
It looks like Adult Swim will be producing an animated series based on Get Jiro! I’m easily more attached to that character and that book than to anything I’ve yet drawn, so I’m really excited to know that that crazy world I helped create is still going to be explored. I’ve definitely got some complicated feelings about other creators guiding the direction this time, but I think a really good creative pair has been chosen and from what I’ve heard they’ve got some really interesting ideas about where to take it.
It may obviously not match my vision at all, which is always the risk with adaptations- but also the promise. At any rate Jiro’s back in town and he’s not going to suffer any fools.
